REVIEWS

“It’s a very heady mix of Biblical allusion, post-apocalyptic imagery, and feminist theory.  It’s often quite stunning to watch, the sheer ambition laid out on screen going far beyond the norm.  The film has some of the best production design I’ve seen in a while… the ambition sells the emotion, the epic scale of the imagery able to provide some sort of cathartic release.”

Philbert Dy, Click the City

Woman of the Ruins reflects present-day society, where religion has a grab hold of the very concept of marriage and gender roles remain steadfast despite modernity… Sicat effectively captures a society crumbling not from natural or man-made disasters but from persisting norms and religion.”
